Peyd Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Digital Data OÜ (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your data when you use our merchant payment application, including Tap to Pay and POS transaction services.

By creating an account or using Peyd, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

a. Merchant & Account Information

• Name & surname
• Email address
• Phone number
• Business name, tax/VAT number
• Business address
• Authentication and login data
• Payout method details

b. Transaction Information

• Transaction amount
• Date and time
• Payment method and tokenized card data
• Authorization details
• Device and merchant location (if required)

c. Device & Technical Data

• Device model, OS version
• IP address
• App usage logs
• Error diagnostics and crash reports

We never store raw credit card numbers, CVV codes, PINs, or magnetic stripe data.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide payment processing & Tap to Pay services
• To verify merchant identity (KYC/KYB)
• To secure user accounts and authenticate logins
• To meet regulatory obligations
• To improve app performance and prevent fraud
• To handle payouts and settlement operations
• To communicate essential updates, invoices, and notifications

4. Legal Basis (GDPR/KVKK)

• Contract performance
• Legal obligations (payment & tax compliance)

5. Data Sharing

• Payment processors & acquiring banks
• Cloud hosting & security providers

We do not sell or broker personal data to third parties.

• Operate your merchant account
• Comply with financial regulations (5–10 years typical)
• Prevent fraud
• Resolve disputes and legal matters

When no longer needed, data is securely deleted or anonymized.

7. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your merchant account at any time via:

• In-app → Settings → Account → Delete Account
• Email request: delete@peyd.app

Certain financial data cannot be deleted due to regulatory requirements (see Account Deletion Policy).
